More About IPICS

The Society was founded in May 1980. It has developed significantly in the intervening years and currently has members throughout Ireland and Britain. IPICS has been instrumental in facilitating manufacturing professionals to keep abreast of the latest developments in manufacturing through its education, seminars and other training courses.

The Society is a leading promoter of education and training on Operations Management, including Supply Chain Management, Production, Inventory, Materials Management, Purchasing, and Logistics in Ireland and Britain. IPICS is an international associate of APICS, The Association for Operations Management (USA), and the European Logistics Association (ELA).

Educational programs promoted included the Certificate in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM), Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), of APICS, as well as the EJLog, ESLog, and the EMLog qualifications of the European Certification Board for Logistics (ECBL). One day workshops focused on areas of Supply Chain Management and LEAN Manufacturing are also held on a regular basis.
