More About IPICS

The Society was founded in May 1981. It has developed significantly in the intervening years and currently has members throughout Ireland. IPICS has been instrumental in facilitating manufacturing professionals to keep abreast of the latest developments in manufacturing through its education, seminars and other training courses.

The Society is a leading promoter of education and training on Operations Management, including Supply Chain Management, Production, Inventory, Materials Management, Purchasing, and Logistics in Ireland. IPICS is an international associate of APICS, The Association for Operations Management (USA)and recently became the Irish and UK  affiliate of  the IIBLC, the Independent Board for Lean Certification.

APICS is the leading International Professional Certification body for Supply Chain Management. Its CPIM and CSCP qualifications are regarded as  the benchmark for all similar Supply Chain certifications worldwide.
IIBLC is a European initiative to provide Independent professional certification in Lean Systems following the Green, Black and Champion hierarchy of expertise. The essence of the IIBLC program is that it provides recognition of Lean Knowledge and Expertise independently of any employer or commercial organisation
